The Del Rey bag from Mulberry, £795. a/w 2012.
Mulberry have announced that their new bag is the Del Rey; named in honour of girl du jour, Lana Del Rey. Speaking about the new tote, Mulberry said that it was Lana’s old-school glamour, combined with her sense of fun that appealed to their own desire to mix eclectic playful references with high fashion.
The Del Rey is a simple, chic and (as you might expect) vintagey-classic design. A simple silhouette with twin grab handles, it has the classic Mulberry postman’s lock to the side. Available from May in ‘mainline’ finishes (Mulberry classics like oak and black buffalo) and as part of the Autumn/Winter collection in a berry coloured black-forest soft matte (immediately above), deer brown grainy print (below), black soft spongy and petrol coloured tanned lambskin (top). The Catwalk Collection also features two new super-luxe leathers, gold large metallic snake print and ink blue sparkle croc print. All of which, we want.
